Using Press Releases To Promote Podcast

Just like you see in newspapers or on TV, press releases are often used for podcast in order to promote new things going on or new events in the subject area. They are an excellent way to drawn in your audience or to bring your subscribers back for another view.

Don't make the mistake of assuming that press releases are old-fashioned and knowing are useful. You can try to pick an interesting angle for one of your episodes of the podcast and write a roughly 300 to 400 words focused on that episode.

This little press release can be posted for free on services such as I-Newswire.com. This is a good idea to showcase anniversary podcasts, such as your 10th podcast, your 20th podcast your 50th podcast or others. If you are doing a special interview with someone famous or important, you should release a press release that will promote this episode to potential viewers.

Also, if you get important information about a new topic or upcoming events, share that in a press release and draw people into your podcast. The more you are able to get people to read about your podcast throughout the Internet, the more popular and successful your podcast can become.
