Podcasting Format One Speaker One Topic
Like any choice in life, there is always a positive and negative side to everything. In the same manner, there is a negative side to this particular format of podcasting. The bad side here is that no one else is able to give direct feedback as to whether the topics discussed are boring or dull. It is entirely up to the podcaster to know this weather his or her podcast is gaining in listeners or subscribers and to review any feedback or reviews published about about his or her podcast through the directories or the podcasting community forums. It may be very good to have others review a podcast prior to submitting or promoting it. Try asking friends, family, or business acquaintances for their opinions on your podcast to see how it audience would react to the subject matter as well as your format in producing it. However, be leery of people giving positive feedback simply because they do not want to hurt your feelings. Using single topic along with single speaker can be fun for the podcaster because it only makes him or her gather a more in depth understanding of the topic. Eventually, he or she will be able to do different podcasts on this particular topic without further research. It never hurts anyone to conduct research on a topic, but this podcaster should have gained enough information about their topic to decrease the amount of research that might need to be completed on the topic at a later date.
