There are many podcasting directories, which can be helpful to any podcaster. Podcasters can gain listeners and, eventually, a full audience just by submitting the podcast to every podcasting directory available. There are many different types of topic specific podcasting directories where a podcast can be submitted (most of the time free of charge). Some examples of specific podcasting directories will help the podcaster know where to go. Keep in mind that not each topic can be covered; some topics may not be popular enough to warrant their own section on directories. However, this it would make a great topic for you to make a podcast on as, with such a small amount of competition, it may be an easy topic in which your podcast can become popular. These podcast can also be used to learn how to do home improvement projects or can focus on motivation for career improvement. The Educational Podcasting Group is a website which can be found at http://recap.ltd.uk/podcasting/index.php. This website lists a wide variety of podcasts that deal with learning something. They focus on educating the listener in a specific topic or area so that he or she can leave the podcast knowing something new. All podcasts in this directory have to be safe and not sexually biased. They also cannot contain explicit language; it is important that these podcast can be listened to a general audience which may include children, which is why they cannot contain offensive material. If a podcast or would like his or her podcast to be listed on this directory, it is important to make sure that that podcast does not contain any sexual material or explicit content. This website is based in the United Kingdom and is a great educational resource as well as a wonderful place to find an educational podcast. The Education Podcast Network is a website which can be located at http://www.epnweb.org/. This educational podcasting directory allows teachers to search for content which may be used in a classroom or online college course. There is much educational variety within the Education Podcast Network, from 'How To Grow Tomatoes' to 'How To Make A Movie'. With new podcasts are being added daily, this is a strong educational podcasting directory and can help every listener find an educational podcast worth listening to and learning from.
